Additional 25% Duties on Imports from India
Executive Order 14329 to impose an additional ad valorem duty rate of 25% on U.S. imports of Indian products in response to India directly or indirectly importing Russian oil tariff. This 25% tariff will be in addition to the 25% reciprocal tariff that is already in place. The exclusion due to shipping and arrival dates has expired as of today (are entered for consumption or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption before 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on September 17, 2025).
To clarify “consumption date” refers to the date of entry for consumption under U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, determined by factors like when entry documentation is filed and when CBP authorizes the release of goods. The specific consumption date, you would need to identify the exact date the entry summary was filed, the merchandise arrived within port limits both resulting in CBP authorized release.
