April 3, 2025 – Important Tariff Updates
Key Points:
All goods from China /HK are subject to:
– Regular HTS duty
– Section 310 tariff (7.5% or 25%)
– IEEPA tariff (20%)
– Reciprocal Tariff (10%, starting April 5. 34% starting April 9)
– Section 232 (steel/aluminum) tariff, if applicable
– ADCVD, if applicable
From all other countries:
– Regular HTS duty
– IEEPA tariff (20%)
– Reciprocal Tariff (10%, starting April 5. based on duties listed on Annex I starting April 9)
– Section 232 (steel/aluminum) tariff, if applicable
– ADCVD, if applicable
Effective April 5, additional 10% tariff applicable to all imports from all countries. Effective April 9, all imported goods from specified countries will be subject to the tariffs outlined in Annex I. These tariffs are in addition to the regular HTS duties, Section 301 tariffs, IEEPA tariffs, and any applicable antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD). These tariff rates are subject to change without advance notice. Exclusions from Reciprocal Tariffs: see Annex II.
In Details:
*10% will be effective on April 5, 2025, except for goods that loaded onto a vessel at the port of loading and in transit on the final mode of transit before 12:01 a.m. EST on April 5, 2025, and entered for consumption after 12:01 a.m. EST on April 5, 2025, shall not be subject to such additional duty.
* All articles from trading partners enumerated in Annex I shall be subject to the country-specific ad valorem rates of duty specified in Annex I as of April 9, 2025, except for goods that loaded onto a vessel at the port of loading and in transit on the final mode of transit before 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on April 9, 2025, and entered for consumption or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption after 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on April 9, 2025, shall not be subject to these country-specific ad valorem rates of duty set forth in Annex I to this order.
