  • Updated May 30, 2025 – Latest on the IEEPA Tariffs

as of May 30, 2025, 12 PM (CST)

    What happened?

    1. On May 28, the Court of International Trade (CIT) ruled that the IEEPA tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration were unlawful and ordered them to be revoked within 10-days.
    2. That same day, the Administration appealed the CIT’s decision and requested a temporary halt to the order.
    3. The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals (CAFC) granted the request, meaning, no changes to the IEEPA tariffs will take place until further notice.

What does this mean to the importers?

    • The IEEPA tariffs remain in place for now.
    • Refunds may be possible in the future, but no official confirmation or guidance has been issued at this time.

    What should importers do?

    • We strongly recommend all the importers to track of all entries where the IEEPA tariffs were paid. If refunds are authorized in the future, you’ll need to be ready to file a Protest in a timely manner. We’ll be available to assist.
    • Create an ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) Portal Account to monitor your entries, duties paid, liquidation dates, and more. If you’d like our assistance setting this up, please complete this form and return it signed and dated.
    • Register for CSMS notifications to get the latest updates from CBP straight to your mailbox.
    • Review your customs bond status and coverage to ensure it remains sufficient for your current and future import plans.

As always, we’ll continue to share updates as new information becomes available.
